Sweetwater Episcopal Academy offers a morning-supervised program starting at 7:00 A.M. in Gray Hall. The children are encouraged to read books, magazines and other materials, or play with puzzles. There is a table for coloring and drawing, a chessboard and a quiet center to do homework or study for tests. We hope that by starting the day in a relaxed and comfortable environment the children will go to class ready to learn and perform at their best. Parents who need to leave their children at school early know they will be supervised until teachers are able to receive them in the classrooms at 8:00 a.m.

The afternoon program offers a variety of experiences for the children and is located at the Gray Hall which offers plenty of space for the large afternoon group. There are centers around the room consisting of Lincoln logs, Legos, puzzles, games, books, cars/trucks, a listening center, an arts and craft table. There is an area set for those who choose to do their homework, and mats offered for students who want to rest. We offer a snack daily and a movie day on Friday. Weather permitting, there is outside play at our playground, P.E. field, or inside basketball in our gymnasium (Gray Hall).

Extended Day Hours: Mornings 7:00 to 8:00 a.m.
Afternoons 3:20 to 6:00 p.m.

Rates: $6.00 per hour

Both programs offer a safe and loving environment, where the teacher/student ratio provides for effective communication should any problem arise. There is continuity between school and the Extended Day Care program. Children are familiar with both the grounds and teachers. The bathrooms are close to the outside play area. The emergency treatment book is available to contact parents in case of emergency and a telephone is available for the parents to contact their children should the need arise.
