Janet Stroup

Janet Stroup serves as SEA's Head of School. She started at SEA in 1990 as the fifth grade teacher and it was a self-contained classroom where she taught all of the content area subjects.  In 1999 she was promoted to Dean of Students and then became Head of School in 2003. 

"I am so pleased and proud to be Head of such an outstanding school," says Mrs. Stroup. "Our staff, students, and parents are the finest that I have ever worked with.  We teach children.  We teach them to love learning and that it is cool to be smart.  We teach them to be kind to others and to make good choices.  Our alumni “keep SEA in their hearts” when they leave, and other teachers compliment our students on how well they are prepared for Middle School and what good citizens they are.  That means a lot to me!" 

She received her BA in Elementary Education from Grove City College, PA,  and M.Ed from Millersville University, PA.

"I have enjoyed watching SEA and our students grow over the past 21 years, and hope to continue for many more years," says Mrs. Stroup.
