Jessica Albertson
Jessica Albertson received a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education and Health (K-12) from the University of Kansas (Go Jayhawks!) in 1985.
Mrs. Albertson has been teaching at SEA for a total of 24 years (though there was a seven year break when her family went west to Tacoma, WA and Las Vegas, NV. She was fortunate enough to come back home to Sweetwater. In 1986 the school hired me as the Spanish/PE teacher for grades PreK-8th. "The growth that I have seen over the years at SEA has been incredible," says Mrs. Albertson.
"Physical Education is my passion! I am always searching for new and innovative methods of instruction. I am known always on the go! My family and colleagues affectionately named me the Energizer Bunny. I love run Adventure Races, bike and swim," says Mrs. Albertson.
She is commited to helping students realize that Physical Education does not end in school but is the beginning of a lifelong commitment to wellness. The PE staff tries to plan for, develop, and maintain a positive learning environment where students feel safe (physically and emotionally).
