Lynda A. Delius - SEA Teacher of the Year (13)
It is with great pride that Sweetwater Episcopal Academy recognizes Lynda A. Delius as SEA’s first “Outstanding Teacher of the Year” for her dedication to excellence and for inspiring our students for 17 years. Recognized by her students and her peers for her tireless energy, passion, love of teaching, love of learning, and love of children, Lynda Delius is a teacher who sets the bar for all educators. She gives 100% of her best each and every day. -
The Class of 2012 (58)
Fifth Graders at SEA, reached the ultimate milestone on Thursday evening, G-R-A-D-U-A-T-I-O-N. After an AMAZING Fifth Grade year which admittedly went by MUCH too quickly, it was time to say goodbye to the place, many have called home since Pre-K. -
"The Fifth Grade Flag" (40)
In keeping with SEA Tradition, SEA’s class of 2012 presented its quilt “The Fifth Grade Flag”. Through this project, students gained the understanding that quilts have been an important part of our American history and culture. -

The 2011-2012 Yearbooks have arrived!! This year's theme is "Catch the Spirit" (the SEA Spirit that is...). Thank you Mrs. Battista for loving us so much, and helping to preserve those special memories here at SEA. -

Brevard Zoo (65)
As part of their studies on South America and the Rainforest, 2nd Graders at SEA traveled to the Brevard Zoo. -
Relay For Life (5)
This past weekend, SEA faculty, family, & friends participated in the Longwood/Altamonte Springs Relay for Life. The Sweetwater for Survivors team raised over $1,700 for cancer research through the generous donations of SEA families and friends. -
A Kids Life! (53)

Third Graders Learn About Mummification (18)
As part of their unit on Ancient Civilizations, today 3rd Graders at SEA made Apple Mummies by covering apple slices with a dessicant made from baking soda and salt to draw out the moisture. How long do you think it will take? -
5h Grade - Civil War Re-enactors (52)
Today at SEA, the fifth grade social studies students experienced a day in the life of a Civil War soldier. Two re-enactors; a Confederate doctor and a Union nurse, portraying surgeons and the medical staff came with all their artifacts to explain and share to our students about the medical profession during the Civil War. -
The Ultimate Slooze Show (225)
Following the SEA Swamp Adventure, students participated in "The Ultimate Slooze Show" a high-energy, fun and messy game show that "gets kids messy on the outside, while God cleans ’em up on the inside!" -
SEA Swamp Adventure (86)
On Friday, April 20, students in grades 3-5 participated in swam and completed a challenging obstacle course which provided for some messy fun! -
Three Piggy Opera (18)
Spring has "sprung" at SEA and with it comes our first Spring Show... "Three Piggy Opera" performed by our talented Pre-K students! -

Pre-K Studies Butterflies (14)
Pre-K has been studying butterflies in class. They have planted a butterfly garden and have two caterpillars in their classroom that they hope to see form a chrysalis soon. -
It's Field Day at SEA! (47)
On Thursday, March 15th students gathered for a fun-filled field day. Students were divided into themes and competed in a variety of fun and challenging activities and a GREAT way to start Spring Break! -
Book Resale (9)
Parents’ Club recently sponsored a Book Resale for SEA Students. All books were $1. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for students to purchase gently used books for a family member or their own reading pleasure! -
Colonial Williamsburg (10)
A right of passage at SEA, 5th graders are in Williamsburg this week as part of their studies in American History including the Revolutionary and Civil Wars. -
Science Bee (15)
Using a Jeopardy style format, Fourth & Fifth Graders at SEA tested their knowledge in our annual Science Bee. -
SEA Wins $500 Smile Mile Grant (69)
Congratulations to our SEA Smile Mile participants! We had 109 registered runners and we won the $500 PE grant for the fourth consecutive year! -
Kindergarten HOPS Breakfast (124)
After serving breakfast, Kindergarten Students at SEA entertain Policemen and Firefighters as part of their Homeroom Outreach Project." -
Adventures in Archeology (19)
After discussin the difference between fossils and artifacts, third graders at SEA worked in gorups to excavate their sites, which were filled with various artifacts. -

East Florida Regional Scholastic Chess Championship (9)
Members of the SEA Chess team competed in the East Florida Regional Scholastic Championship, at Robert Louis Stevenson Elementary in Merritt Island, on Saturday, February 25, 2012, and won the K-5 team championship. -

Dear Children of God, it is time for us to prepare out hearts for the great mystery of Easter. The Church sets aside forty days to prepare for Easter and calls this time of preparation "Lent". -

As their Homeroom Outreach Project (HOPS), recently 1st Graders at SEA embarked on a mission to spread a little love and joy to the elderly residents of The Heritage at Lake Forest. -

Grandparents & Special Friends Day (78)
It was a GREAT day for young and "older" at SEA's Annual Grandparents Day! Grandparents attended Chapel, worked on a variety of activities with students in their classrooms and enjoyed a special luncheon in their honor. Thank you to all the wonderful Grandparents who joined us. -
Fifth Grade Presidential Dinner (47)
A long standing tradition at SEA, Fifth Graders and their families participated in SEA's Annual Presidential Dinner. Hosted by Social Studies Teacher and Assistant Head of School, Mrs. Delius, the evening provides an opportunity for students to showcase the research based learning they have been conducting on U.S. Presidents. -
Historical Novels (19)
In conjunction with their Presidential Report, 5th Graders at SEA led by Creative Writing Teacher Mrs. Wolfcale, have written and illusrated their own Historical Novels. -
Michael Fields - A Day With Mrs. Delius (3)
As the lucky winner of our WinterFest Raffle Prize "A Day With Mrs.Delius", Kindergartner Michael Fields spent the day shadowing Mrs. Delius and assuming many of the responsibilities of the Assistant Head of School. -
Native American Reports (20)
Third Graders at SEA have recently completed their first research based report on Native American Indians as part of their Social Studies curriculum. This week at SEA they are showing what they have learned -
Jim Sawgrass (92)
Third Graders at SEA are working on their Native American Studies unit. Today, their Native American unit was made “larger than life” when students were paid a visit by Jim Sawgrass, a native Floridian and a member of the Muskogee Creek Indian Tribe. Sawgrass has been sharing his knowledge of the Southeastern Native American tribes for over 25 years. -
Pumpkin Day at SEA (44)
Halloween is in the air, but it is Pumpkin Day at SEA! Students are counting seeds and doing a variety of lessons related to reading, writing, math & science - all centered around our beautiful orange friend, "the pumpkin". -
3rd Grade Visits The Marine Science Center (28)
As part of their unit on sea turtle migration third grade students visited the Marine Science Center in Ponce Inlet Florida. Their trip included a tour of the sea turtle hospital, the bird rehabilitation center, and a dune walk. -
Canoeing Practice (5)
4th & 5th Graders are getting ready to hit Lake Brantley by practicing their strokes in the SEA Pool! -
Pre-K Science (12)
Pre-K students recently conducted some experiments to discover the power of air. Using Alka-seltzer tablets and water, they were able to create enough air to inflate a balloon and send film canisters flying into the sky. Who knew this invisible state of matter was so fun!? -
Red Ribbon Week (4)
Students at SEA are participating in Red Ribbon Week. Red Ribbon Week is the oldest and largest drug prevention campaign in the country. The theme of Red Ribbon Week for 2012 is “It’s Up To Me To Be Drug Free.” -
Buddy Science (4)
Students in Kindergarten at SEA set out to answer the age old question, “Do Pumpkins Sink or Float” during a buddy science unit with Third Graders. -
Blessing of the Animals (9)
Blessing of the Animals is a time to give thanks for God’s creations and for those animals that come into and change our lives forever. The menagerie gathered at ECR’s new St. Francis Memorial included dogs, cats and Ms. Wolfcale’s class pet, Spidey the hamster. -
SEAhawks Mini Triathlon (14)
Our 2nd Annual SEAhawk Mini Triathlon was AWESOME! It was a beautiful day on our campus, the PreK – Second Grade students were excited to finally take part in this unique event, following weeks of training. -
International Peace Day (5)
A time honored tradition at SEA, students gathered to celebrate International Peace Day. Students, Faculty and Parents wore white to signify our power to come together as one in peace and to make a commitment to help those in need. -
