Alumni Update: The Knapp Family

We love when we get updates from our Sweetwater Episcopal Academy alumni. Mrs. Knapp, mom to 4 SEA grads, sent us this photo from 2000 graduate Sarah Knapp's University of Florida graduation. Also pictured are Jennifer, SEA class of 2003, Lindsey, SEA class of 1997, and Chris who graduated from SEA in 1994.

Congratulations to Sarah who is headed to medical school and all of the Knapp alumni!

Alumni Update: Derin Alemli

Derin Alemli graduated from Sweetwater Episcopal Academy in 1993. He went on to attend Dream Lake Middle School and Apopka High School. After graduating from UCF with a finance degree, Derin worked two years for the Bank of New York in Lake Mary.  He went on to Chicago for a job with Grosvenor Capital Management, a hedge fund that is the 3rd largest fund in the world and the largest independent fund in the world.  After joining Grosvenor, he sat for - and successfully completed - the Chartered Financial Analysis (CFA) examination.  At the same time he has been attending the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and will receive his MBA in June of 2011

Derin has often said that his pursuit of academic achievement and the application of his knowledge in the 'real' world came from his early education environment at SEA (Pre-K through 5th).  His enthusiasm for learning and joy in knowledge can be traced directly to SEA!
