RELIGIOUS EDUCATION at SEA…

Our Religious Education Program at SEA has several primary goals. All students in grades PK-4 have Religious Ed for 25 minutes each week; grade 5 for 50 minutes. All goals are grounded and taught with the use of Bible stories, and each year’s teaching builds upon the previous year/years but also can be understood independently.

Through Religious Ed classes, each child comes to understand that…

1) God loves him/her and each is uniquely special to Him.

2) God is always with him/her and is active in the life of each child.

3) God’s love is revealed to us in Jesus Christ. All faiths are respected but the Gospel of Jesus Christ is taught.

4) There is nothing that God will not forgive if one is truly sorry.

5) God pours His love upon us and He desires that we return that love by loving Him and others in thought, word, and deed.

6) As a child of God, we are to serve Him by helping those in need.
