WAYS OF GIVING

Every gift, large or small, unrestricted or restricted, is important to Sweetwater Episcopal Academy. There are many ways of supporting SEA's people and programs. Careful planning can help maximize the advantages to both the donor and the Academy.

Your generosity to Sweetwater Episcopal Academy and participation in the Annual and Capital Campaigns is greatly appreciated and helps to enable current students to receive an exceptional and unique education.

Family Foundations:  If you are a member of a family foundation or are aware of a foundation whose programs fall within those here at SEA, please contact Cheryl Bair.

A range of some of the methods that may be used to give include:

Cash:  The majority of the gifts received by SEA are outright cash contributions. Cash gifts can be made by check or credit card. Checks should be made out to Sweetwater Episcopal Academy and sent to:

Sweetwater Episcopal Academy
Development Office
251 E. Lake Brantley Drive
Longwood, Florida, 32779

You may also transfer gifts directly from your account to SEA's account by using the Cash Wire Transfer Letter.

Credit Card:  Sweetwater Episcopal Academy accepts credit card donations made with MasterCard, Visa or American Express card. If you would prefer to make a credit payment by telephone, please call the Development Office at 407.862.1882.

Appreciated securities:   Gifts of marketable, publicly-traded stocks are a particularly advantageous way of making a donation to SEA because such gifts provide greater tax benefits than those available to a donor of an equivalent value in cash.  Delivery Instruction for DTC Transactions Gifts of securities may be easily transferred into the Academy's account at Smith Barney.

Matching Gifts:  Many gifts to Sweetwater Episcopal Academy are double or even tripled because corporations and foundations match gifts made by their employees, retirees and directors. To find out which organizations will match your gift click here. If you or your spouses are affiliated with an organization that will match gifts to private secondary schools, please forward the matching gift form along with your gift to SEA.  Please check with your personnel office to obtain a matching gift form.

Other Assets:  Other assets that can be used to fund these and other gifts arrangements include appreciated real estate (commercial or residential); art, books or collections that have appreciated in value; life insurance; and retirement plan assets.

Volunteer:  Your time, service and enthusiasm are some of the best gifts you can give to the school. Parent and grandparent volunteers have been a hallmark of our school since its founding in 1974, when Dr. Paul Loefler set out to organize the school we have today. Volunteering can mean helping with the hot lunch program, being involved in the Fall Festival or Spring Fling, being a room parent,  or many other options. We need and value our volunteers -- dedicated parents, grandparents, alumni and friends -- who together make our school a community.

Please contact the Parents' Club for more information about volunteering opportunities at SEA.
