Zulma Montijo

Zulma Montijo teaches Second Grade Math and Science. She began teaching in 1978, taking six years off to raise her children, and joined SEA in 1996.

"Teaching at SEA allows me to explore the students’ minds," says Montijo.  "I love to encourage them to participate in the classroom, think critically, question and also respect other's point of view.  I’ve always felt great support from the Head of School, other teachers and the wonderful parents.  It is a blessing and a privilege to be a part of this community!"

Mrs. Montijo has a B.S. Biology from the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus. She loves to cook and read.  She enjoys spending time with her husband of 33 years and their sons and wives and their grandchildren.
