Remote Learning Resources

Due to the school closures as a result of COVID-19, SEA has moved to remote learning beginning Tuesday, March 24. It is a new process for all, and we are working to ensure that the learning process continues despite the challenges. Our teachers are creative and dedicated to providing the best learning environment for their students. Working together as a community we will ensure that we continue to learn and grow during this period of remote learning. We have a list of resources, that we will continue to update to keep you and your child engaged and moving forward. There are some key elements to remember:

  • Provide your child with a balance of assignments and other activities.
  • Build in time for Art, Music, Fitness, Reading, Creative Expression, etc. They should play – having fun is encouraged!
  • Children need down-time as well, so giving them a choice of when to do certain activities can empower them to make decisions and take ownership of these decisions.
  • They need regular interaction with you and with social distancing in full effect, children need to feel safe and secure so any time you can spend together or as a family will be time well-spent.
  • A regular school day (8 a.m. – 3 p.m.) does not translate into the same number of hours spent doing classwork/assignments at home. Be mindful of this – Students should be productive but when they start to lose steam, it’s OK to dial it back and push the reset button.
